Systems build is a key component of Optilan’s work. Our Coventry site incorporates a 1500 Square metre staging facility dedicated specifically to the production of equipment cabinets, & racks. The facility is capable of building in excess of 200 19” racks simultaneously.

Factory Acceptance Test

Also at Coventry is Optilan in-house FAT testing facility – all telecoms and security systems are subject to full FAT testing.

Project-specific tests are designed to the client procurement specification and to demonstrate all system functionality and measure all relevant system parameters and levels as required.

Factory acceptance testing is geneally undertaken by Project Engineering Teams and is generally conducted in the main FAT workshop, which is fully equipped with fibre optic, voice, data and RF test equipment. However, some large projects which involve very high levels of in-house test activity have their own dedicated secure FAT rooms at Optilan.
