Build & Assembly

Rack building, equipment cabinets and field equipment assembly all take place at Optilan’s UK workshops. The workshops cover over 3,000 square metres in total, providing the capability to assemble over 200 racks at any one time.

Factory Acceptance Test

Optilan systems are subjected to full FAT testing and pre-commissioning prior to shipping.

Project-specific test specifications are developed for all subsystems and passed to the client for prior approval. Tests can be included to demonstrate all system functionality and to demonstrate and measure all relevant system parameters and levels.

Factory acceptance testing is undertaken by Project Engineering Teams and is generally conducted in Optilan’s main FAT workshop, which is fully equipped with voice, data RF and fibre optic test equipment. Larger projects with very high levels of in-house activity, however, have their own dedicated secure FAT rooms
