ANPR

Automatic Number Plate Reading (ANPR) is used both for car park and site security and, by Regional Police Forces, for identifying and tracking vehicles, including stolen vehicles and drivers who are of interest to the police  Optilan designs, installs and supports complete ANPR solutions for local authorities, police forces and private industries associated with road transport infrastructure throughout the UK.

Optilan provides complete ‘turnkey’ ANPR/CCTV solutions, from high level design and project management to site engineering, maintenance and support.

A typical Optilan system comprises:

• A transmission backbone, often SDH based
• CCTV Cameras, Matrix etc
• Number Plate Readers
• Control Centre equipment and ANPR technology
• Radio Systems
• IP/LAN Fibre and Wi-Max Connectivity to Back Office Systems
• Optical Fibre Cabling Infrastructure and associated civil works

Additional subsystems for specific application may include:

• Loop detectors and emergency phones for roadside applications

Subsystems such as ANPR can also be superimposed onto a legacy CCTV system if appropriate.
