Optilan has designed and delivered turnkey communications systems for Mainline and Light Rail networks, combining systems engineering and subsystems integration with trackside cabling and troughing works to deliver total solutions.

Cabling Services

Optilan has very extensive experience of providing optical fibre and copper cable Joint, Terminate and Test (JTT) services, cable installation and troughing services, together with associated civil works, for both trackside and underground environments. The company is currently active on a number of Network Rail Fixed Telecom (FTN) and LUL‘Connect’ based projects.

Outside the UK, Optilan has provided transmission systems and infrastructure for light rail and mainline networks throughout Europe, and in the Far East.
