Optilan’s employs the UK’s largest direct employed force of Fibre Engineers trained for work on LUL infrastructure. These engineers are engaged in projects providing Optical Fibre and Copper Cable installation, JTT (Joint, Terminate and Test) and maintenance services both on schemes where LUL itself is the beneficiary and to a number of Telecoms Operators and end-users who have fibre installed on LUL's network.

Optilan’s spectrum of activities on LUL systems is constantly broadening – including the provision of telecommunications equipment and work on optical fibre cable manufacturing specification for LUL projects.

Optilan provides 24 hour 365 day call-out maintenance services on the LUL network - Site Engineers hold certificates in SPC/SOTT, Track Accustomed, Depot Accustomed, Machine Room, Confined Spaces, QAF 54 etc.
