Sales and Marketing Analyst

The Role

Reporting directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, the Sales and Marketing Analyst will play a key role in attaining the continued growth of our sales pipeline, by providing commercially focussed marketing analysis. This analysis will inform our sales strategy and assist the global sales team in successfully meeting business objectives.

A key aspect of this role is to obtain detailed research material to identify upcoming projects, market opportunities and trends in Optilan’s target arena. This research material then needs to be filtered accurately and in sufficient detail to enable Optilan to approach the right opportunities in a controlled manner.

You will be responsible for assisting in the creation of a delivery focused culture, whilst simultaneously driving consistency by streamlining policies and procedures across all regions. As part of this you will be required to develop strategies and plans to deliver against both current and future client needs.

You will be required to communicate effectively internally to understand the business needs and to share research output in a timely and structured manner with the Business leadership, development and delivery teams. You will also be required to liaise with stakeholders and external bodies in developing a well-tuned Optilan business radar. In addition to this, you will be responsible for initiating CRM activities to increase customers’ consumption and build brand loyalty through developing and implementing approved CRM strategies.

About You

To be considered for this role, a bachelor’s degree in a Business-related discipline, such as Accounting, Finance, Business, Sales or Marketing is essential, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Sales or Marketing Analyst role.

You will be both methodical and analytical in your approach to problem solving and able to demonstrate proficiency in conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses. A high level of accuracy is paramount so an eye for detail and strong organisational skills are deemed essential. As are excellent communication skills to enable you to present, influence and negotiate at all levels to help shape the future direction of the business.

The ideal candidate for this post will thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a “can do” attitude towards work. You will be able to work under pressure to meet challenging deadlines, as part of a team or autonomously as required. Experience using CRM Microsoft Dynamics would also be desirable.
