On the right track with RISQS audit

Following the successful completion of our annual RISQS audit (Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme), we are pleased to announce that Optilan has once again been fully verified under the RISQS association.

RISQS is industry-owned and governed, sponsored by a committee of representatives from across the rail industry. The purpose of the RISQS audit is to ensure the company’s operating systems are thoroughly compliant with Rail industry standards, covering Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental practices. Simultaneously, it also assesses compliance to the companies own Integrated Management Systems and ISO certifications.

The rigorous and extensive three-day audit covered several product codes, encompassing both Core and Trackside modules. During this time we were proud to learn that several examples of good initiatives derived from our operating systems had been identified which surpassed the Scheme Requirements.

This successful outcome has demonstrated the high-quality procedures and processes that are in place throughout the business. It highlights our unfaltering integrity to follow each process thoroughly, and ensuring compliance with the required industry standards. Another outcome of this result is that it helps us to maintain our Principal Contractors License with Network Rail, allowing Optilan to continue to work and bid directly with Network Rail and the wider rail community.
