Scope Summary: Telecom and security systems package

Background

The Quintero Bay LNG facility, 155km north-west of Santiago, was developed to help Chile progress towards greater independence in gas supplies. The first land-based terminal for the reception, unloading, storage and regasification of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in the southern hemisphere, the development included the installation of a sea terminal and plant.

The Remit

Optilan was contracted to deliver, install, commission and maintain the telecom and security systems for the project.

The Optilan Approach

Optilan successfully developed and delivered a package that included several subsystems in varying configurations to meet specific project requirements.

The subsystems included PA/GA, PABX, Site radio, Process and Security, CCTV, Intrusion Detection system, Access Control, Ship to Shore system, local area network, CCTV systems for plant, pipeline perimeter security and radio networks.
